https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/amanda-leaderThis is a rare find and a stunning textile. It is an unused 1930s damask fabric that was used to make mattresses (very smart mattresses!). It has never been used and I was probably the first person to unfold it. It has a superb sheen and the damask pattern is so stylish. The underside of the fabric (pale background with darker decoration, shown in last three photos) is also attractive and has a more satin finish so this can be used either way; it's up to you.
There is so much fabric here, this would make a gorgeous pair of curtains or is an excellent weight for upholstery.
I always suggest a wash before use to freshen up but it's not 100% necessary. Sturdy linen union; a lovely fabric.
