Item Description
Seventy odd years old and never even unfolded, how sad is that? This is a linen metis sheet with such charming decoration waltzing across the return and it is all entirely stitched by hand.
Still with the original paper set between the folds to show off the ladder hem, I really was the first person to unfold it.
A good medium weight white linen union, sturdy but nice and soft too. Not huge; suitable for a standard double bed or of course it will make a delightful curtain.
Soak and wash before use; no real marks to worry about, just a couple of pale spots and some little scuffs that will quickly come out.
