https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/amanda-leaderThis is a large piece of 1930s damask fabric that was used to make mattresses (very smart mattresses!). It has never been used and I was probably the first person to unfold it. It has a rather glamorous damask pattern of lillies within garlands, silvery white against the pale warm yellow background colour.
An excellent weight for upholstery, lovely for cushions, a little curtain or blind... This is a traditional linen metis weave, ie a linen weft and cotton warp.
I always suggest a wash before use to freshen up but it's not 100% necessary. Sturdy linen union; a lovely fabric.
