https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA good quality, 19th century, copper jelly mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number 609. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a cross. The design consists of ten fluted columns around a central pipe and this design works equally well whether hanging on a wall or standing on a shelf. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and dates from c.1880. There is very minor denting to the copper, from use, but the tinning, to the interior, is still in good, usable condition.
