Item Details

An eighteenth century, Dutch Delft tile. This is naively painted, in shades of blue, with a swan swimming on water. There is some chipping to the glaze, on the rim of the tile, and this can be seen in the image. This is quite normal and acceptable due to the soft nature of the tin glaze. There is also one quite large chip to the rim, at the base, and slight pitting to the glaze.
Dimensions: 13cm. square by 0.7cm. thick.
