Item Details

An eighteenth century, polychrome Dutch Delft plate. This is painted, in blue, with a monogram of the makers initials and it dates from c.1780. It is decorated in manganese, blue, green, ochre and iron red, with a central vase of flowers. There is wear to the glaze on the rim, as is usual with tin glazed earthenware due to the soft nature of the glaze, and there is a very fine, hairline crack to the rim.
Dimensions: Diameter 23.2cm. Depth 3.3cm.
