Item Details

A late 19th century, beechwood breadboard with a carved border. This is carved with the word “Bread” in a Gothic script and within a cartouche. The remainder of the border is carved with a flowers and leaves. The carving is quite deep and well detailed. The board is in good condition with just the usual knife marks to the face of the board from use. There were a couple of wood worm holes but these have been treated and filled so they are barely visible. The wood has a nice pale patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2cm.
