Item Details

A nineteenth century copper spaddle for use, with a sorbetiere, when making ice cream. This example is made from copper and has a turned oak handle. Originally the copper would have been totally coated in tin. This is now quite worn and if it were to be in frequent use it would need to be re-tinned. It is English, dates from c.1880 and is in good condition.
Dimensions: Length 35.5cm. Width of spaddle 8.2cm. Diameter of handle 3.3cm.
