Item Details

A good quality, 19th century, French copper lidded jug. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It dates from c.1860. The copper lid is hinged and has an acorn shaped brass finial. There is a dent to the top of the hollow handle but otherwise the jug is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is quite worn so the jug could no longer be used for drinks, but it would make a delightful vase for flowers.
