A very good quality, 19th century, French copper mould with a central pipe. This type of mould is ideal for cooking puddings as the central pipe allows the contents to cook from the centre as well as from the outside. This example is stamped with two numbers, “284” and “98” but there are no manufacturers marks. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design is very busy, consisting of seven angular columns with stylised flower tops which are separated by seven shorter, angular columns. It is in excellent condition but the tinning to the interior is worn.
Dimensions: Height 12.7cm. Diameter 14cm.
