Item Details

A French steel kitchen knife with a bone and wood handle in the shape of a leg and boot. This is marked “J S PARIS” which is possibly the mark of J. Savary, and it dates from c.1880. The blade is very sharp and this would have been used as a boning knife. The well shaped wood and bone is attached to the handle using a combination of brass and steel rivets. The piece is in excellent condition and is still usable.
Dimensions: Length 26cm. Width of blade 2.7cm. Width of handle 1.5cm.
