Item Details

A mid 19th century butter worker. This would have been used for working the butter, in a large butter bowl, in order to work the salt into the butter and the water out. It is turned from sycamore, it is English and it dates from c.1840. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a lovely, rich patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 22.5cm. Height 9.5cm.
