Item Details

A large, nineteenth century, dust pressed tile block printed with a large, shaggy dog laying on the side of a quay. This tile is not marked but it was made by Steele and Wood who had a tile works on the London Road, Stoke on Trent, from 1875 until 1892. It is in exactly the same form as others that we have from this series which are marked. The print is very well detailed and it is printed on a grey terracotta tile. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 20.5cm. square by 1.2cm. thick.
