Item Details

A large, nineteenth century, dust pressed tile block printed with a small terrier outside its’ kennel. This tile is marked ”STEELE & WOOD STOKE UPON TRENT” in the casting. Steele and Wood had a tile works on the London Road, Stoke on Trent, from 1875 until 1892. The print is very well detailed and it is printed on a buff terracotta tile. There is a small chip on one corner and very minor nibbling to the rim. Otherwise it is in good condition.
Dimensions: 20.5cm. square by 1.2cm. thick.
