Item Details

A nineteenth century, three part, English pewter, ice cream banquet mould. This is stamped, on the interior of the base, with the registered design kite mark which dates the registration of the design to 1868 and this mould dates from c.1870. Around this is “ NO 15” and the capacity “1 QUART”. The shape of the mould is very simple and would turn out an ice cream with fluted sides culminating in a small dome top. There is quite a lot of marking to the pewter, on the exterior, but the interior is still in good, bright, usable condition.
