Item Details

An unusual, 19th century, beechwood breadboard carved with a family crest. The border to this board is very well carved with wheat, barley and maize but there is also a family crest in the form of a stags head in a shield. The carving is deep and beautifully detailed and the board dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition, with just the usual knife marks from use, and the wood has a lovely rich patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 29.6cm. Depth 2.6cm.
