Item Details

A rare, 19th century beechwood breadboard. This is carved, in an elaborate script, with the motto “Bless God the Giver”, a motto which is rarely seen. The remainder of the border is nicely carved with wheat and it is all carved against a stipple background. The board dates from c.1870 and is in excellent condition. There are just very light knife marks from use.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2cm.
