Item Details

A late 19th century, beechwood breadboard. This is English and it dates from c.1890. The border is quite deeply carved with “BREAD”, opposite acorns, with long, stylised leaves and cartouches between. The board is in very good condition, with no splits. The centre is quite deeply dished where the board has been well used, and the wood has a rich patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 29.3cm. Depth 2cm.
