Item Details

A late 19th century beechwood breadboard. This is English and it dates from c.1890. The border is carved with wheat, barley and long leaves. There are burn marks to the reverse of the board, probably from where it has been left on top of a stove, and there are knife marks to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use. The wood has a rich, honey coloured patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 29.5cm. Depth 2cm.
