Item Details

A nineteenth century, beechwood breadboard with an unusual, sloping, scalloped border. The form of this board is quite simple but the border is well carved and very attractive. The board dates from c.1880 and is in very good condition. There is a small burn mark to the reverse and there are the usual knife marks to both the face and the reverse of the board, from use. The wood has a lovely patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 29cm. Depth 2.6cm.
