https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA nineteenth century, English copper jelly mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “521”. To the opposite side is a very worn workman’s mark in the shape of a fleur-de-lys. The mould is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of a row of overlapping circles to the top and this is known as a penny top design. There is some very minor denting to the sides of the mould but otherwise it is in good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
