This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “502”. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of an O. The design is made to represent a laurel wreath. The mould is made from a substantial gauge of copper and dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
