Item Details

A good quality, Victorian copper jelly mould. This is marked, to one end, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number “129”. To the opposite end it is stamped with a workman’s mark in the shape of a radiating sun. It dates from c.1870. The design consists of a ring of overlapping circles to the top, above fluted sides and this type of design is known as a penny top. There is a small dent to the circle on one end of the mould but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
