https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA nineteenth century, English copper jelly mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “530”. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a cross. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The mould has plain sides with a ring of laurel berries and leaves to the top. Although fairly simple this design would turn out well. The mould is in very good condition and the tinning to the interior, although quite dark, is still good enough for occasional use.
