This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “637”. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a circle. The mould is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of eight dome topped columns with spiral sides and slab bases. The mould is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is still worn.
