Item Details

A nineteenth century, copper mould by Benhams. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “510”. It is also beautifully engraved with the initials “C.W” beneath a crown so this would have come from an aristocratic household. The design consists of six small nuts or fruits to the top, above fluted sides. Unfortunately there is a small split in the rim of the mould and there is very minor denting to the sides. The tinning is badly worn so the mould could not be used.
