The design consists of a star shaped top, each point of the star having a raised diamond shape. There are angular columns to the sides which are divided by rounded, dome topped columns. This design was produced as part of a series which included the Brunswick Star design and the Alexandra Cross. The mould is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. It is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is in very good, bright, usable condition.
