Item Details

A small, boxwood butter print carved with a fox or dog. This is French and it dates from c.1820. The carving has very good detail and depth but the style is quite naive and this makes it difficult to recognise what the animal is supposed to be. The piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 4.9cm. Length of print and handle 9.2cm.
