Item Details

An early 19th century, boxwood sugar or gesso mould carved with a border design. This fairly simple design is deeply carved and the mould dates from c.1820. At some time during its’ life a fine crack has appeared and, in order to stop the mould from splitting further, it has been bolted together.
Dimensions: Length 32.5cm. Width 5.3cm. Depth 3cm.
