Item Details

An early 19th century, boxwood mould. This is beautifully carved with a very detailed garland of leaves and berries. It is also carved with the carvers initials “W.R”. It would originally have been carved as a gesso mould, but it could also be used for fancy sugar work. It is English and dates from c.1820. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a lovely, rich patina.
Dimensions: Length 12.6cm. Width 7cm. Depth 2.5cm.
