Item Description
A super quality, early 19th century boxwood mould carved with a design which resembles a lace collar. This mould could have been used for sugar or for gesso. It is deeply and intricately carved with flowers and foliage against a lattice work background. It is English and dates from c.1820. There is a fine crack at one end, which can be seen in the images, but it is tight and not likely to spread. Otherwise the piece is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Length 25.8cm. Width 17.8cm. Depth 2cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the US.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
