Item Details

An early 19th century, boxwood mould. This is carved with two ornate scrolls and it is incised with a number “300”. It would originally have been carved as a gesso mould, but it could also be used for fancy sugar work. It is English and dates from c.1820. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a lovely, rich patina.
Dimensions: Length 26cm. Width 6.5cm. Depth 2.6cm.
