A nineteenth century, brass, cruciform pastry tool. This is English and dates from c.1880. The cast brass tool is very substantial and has a heavy wheel to the top, for trimming the edge of a pie, a diamond shaped marker to one side and a circular marker to the other. The brass section is in excellent condition but the turned wooden handle has faults. A large amount has been chipped off one side and there is also a crack near to the brass collar. This can be seen in the images.
