Item Details

A mid nineteenth century, brown saltglaze jelly mould. This is probably from Nottinghamshire and it dates from c.1850. The design consists of three well detailed acorns to the base, surrounded by tiny crosses, and the sides have a border which resembles fence panels. There is a chip to the foot rim and slight rubbing to the glaze on some of the high points within the mould.
