Item Details

A nineteenth century, brown salt glaze jelly mould with three plums to the base. This would have been made in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire, where brown salt glaze earthenware was mostly produced, and it dates from c.1860. The moulding of the design is quite well detailed, with good depth. The exterior of the mould has a lovely, lustrous brown glaze and the interior has a buff glaze. It is in very good condition.
