Item Details

A late 19th century, blue transfer printed butter dish with a carved wood surround. This is English and it dates from c.1890. The dish is printed with a version of the willow pattern and the beechwood surround is carved with "Butter" and long, stylised leaves. There is staining to the reverse of the dish but otherwise it is all in good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 15.8cm. Depth 2.4cm.
