Item Details

A Copeland and Garrett green, majolica glazed plate. This is marked ”COPELAND & GARRETT. LATE SPODE” in a circular form. The Spode pottery was taken over by Copeland and Garrett in 1833 and this mark was used from then until Garrett left the partnership in 1844, so the plate dates from c.1840. It is quite lightly potted and moulded with a leaf design which is then covered in a mid green, majolica glaze. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 23.2cm. Depth 2.8cm.
