Item Details

A nice quality, English copper chocolate or coffee pot. This is well made, from quite a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams up the side. It is marked, to the base, with a monogram “SWS” over “B”. This is the mark of William Soutter & Sons and it dates from c.1880. It has a hinged lid, with an acorn shaped brass finial, and the turned ebonised wooden handle is attached by a heart shaped copper fitting. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
