Item Description
A nineteenth century copper jelly mould in the shape of a gourd. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams, although this is now quite faded, and it is also marked “HARRODS LD”. The mould would have been made by Benhams for retail by Harrods. It is naturalistically modelled as a gourd and dates from c.1890. There are two small holes in the side of the mould and this is most probably from where a fitting for hanging has been removed. There is slight pitting to the copper but otherwise the mould is in good condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 15cm. Depth 9.4cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
