Item Details

An early 20th century copper log or coal bin. This is English and it dates from c.1910. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and has an attractive design which is created by the use of copper bands which are riveted into place with copper rivets.The swing handle is made from brass and is held in place by copper fittings. One of the rivets holding the handle fitting in place is a replacement and it is steel instead of copper. There is slight denting to the copper, from use, but otherwise the piece is in good condition.
