Item Description

A miniature copper mould with six fluted columns. This is engraved “T.R. Leyland.” above  “HYDE PARK HOUSE” and it is also stamped with a pattern number ’32’. It is English and it dates from c.1870.

Hyde Park House was a huge mansion, with direct access into Hyde Park, which was built in the 1850’s and was later numbered 3 Albert Gate and 60 Knightsbridge. It was the home of the Naylor-Leyland Baronets. The Baronetcy was created in 1895 but this little mould predates that. The house was built for the banker Thomas Leyland and the mould would have come from his kitchens.

It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.

Dimensions: Height 5cm. Diameter 5.3cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £10. Most of Western Europe add £5.
