Item Details

A mid nineteenth century, double sided mahogany sugar mould. This is English and it dates from c.1850. It is carved, to one side, with unusual, spiral columns and grid patterns. These would have been parts of a much larger project and the grids could have been windows for a building.The opposite side is carved with simple border patterns. There is wear to the edge on one side of the mould but otherwise it is in good condition.
