Item Details

A good quality, small, 19th century, English copper preserve pan. This is marked, to the base, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the pan, just up from the base, and up one side. The handles are the typical English form and one is stamped with a number “12” which relates to the internal diameter in inches. It dates from c.1860 and it is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 32.2cm. Width across the handles 41.6cm. Depth of pan 10cm. Overall height including the handles 12.3cm.
