Item Description
A fabulous quality, Wedgwood dark blue jasper dip pot pourri vase on tripod feet.
This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. For a piece from this period it is exceptional quality. The bowl of the pot pourri stands on three, well modelled, classical dolphin or sturgeon feet.
The bowl is decorated, in white relief, with garlands of leaves and shells and, to the underside is a band of acanthus leaves. To the base is a band of laurel leaves and berries and this is bordered by a very fine, narrow band of rope twist. The finely pierced lid has bands of classical motifs and stiff leaves. All of the reliefs are very fine and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 12cm. Width across foot 12cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
