https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA nineteenth century, French copper bucket with a folding steel handle. This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has a wired rim, and a folded seam to the side. It is stamped with the initials “R. A” to the handle fitting and the base is stamped “RAMIE”. These would be the initials and name of a previous owner. It was probably made for use as a coal bucket, or for use in the garden, as it was never tinned. It is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 29.3cm. Diameter 29cm. Width across the handles 36.5cm.
