https://www.thehoarde.com/dealers/appleby-antiquesA good quality, 19th century, French copper ring mould. This is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. There are no manufacturers marks but it is stamped with a pattern number “N 51”. It is also marked “CHEVET” and “CHEVET 5” and there is a number ”55” which has been over stamped with crosses. These marks would all relate to the property from which the mould originally came from. The design consists of a rope twist top above angular columns to the sides. It is in very good condition and the tinning is slightly flakey but is still good enough for occasional use.
Dimensions: Height 12.2cm. Diameter 15.5cm.
