Item Details

An unusual French copper cake mould with a pea pod design to the top. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of a ring of pea pods, each one containing two peas, and these are divided by stylised leaves. The side of the mould is fluted. The mould is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is badly worn so the mould could not be used. This design displays best when hanging on a wall.
