Item Details

An early 20th century, steel ice or sugar cleaver in the shape of a fox. This is French and it dates from c.1910. The fox is very naively shaped and has a copper rivet to form the eye. The wooden handle is very simple in form and is attached by brass screws. There is pitting to the blade, from use, and there is a split in one side of the wooden handle.
Dimensions: Length 28.5cm. Height 16cm. Width of handle 2cm.
