Item Details

A large, 19th century butter print carved with a geometric design. This is well carved in beechwood. It is English and it dates from c.1840. The design would leave a good, deep impression on the top of a pat of butter. There is a small split in the handle and there are a couple of woodworm holes which have been treated. Otherwise it is in good condition and the wood has a nice, dark patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 10.5cm. Length of print and handle 6.5cm.
