POMMIER BRUXELLES” but this mark is now quite worn. This company was originally founded in 1830 by Michel Van Neuss. His grandson, Hippolyte Pommier, who lived from 1866 to 1936 took over the company and pieces with this mark started around 1910. This piece dates from c.1920. The company is known for producing copper of the highest quality, often 3.5 to 4mm thick with hand hammered details. This piece is no exception. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and is in excellent condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
